Chinmay Das had completed his schooling from Ravenshaw Collegiate School, Cuttack in the year 1987 and persued +2 Science stream there after in Ravenshaw College . University College of Engineering, Burla , the premier engineering college of Orissa, is his Alma Matar and there he learned the basics of engineering while obtaining the honours degree in mechanical engineering. Later on he had completed post graduate degree in production engineering from the same institute. For several years he worked in various small industrial organisations and now working as faculty member in the department of mechanical engineering of Ajay Binay Institute of Technology(ABIT),Cuttack.

              He has also promoted one consultancy firm Picco Consulting, which provides all support services to small and medium enterprises in orissa. Chinmay is the editor of a bilingual fortnightly business paper named Udyog Duniya . He is also the founder and one of the member of editorial board of Journal of Engineering Innovation and Research. Institute of Engineering Innovation, which provides short term courses on many topics, is the brainchild of him. He has promoted two websites www.a2zknowledge.com and www.biza2z.com recently.
